FiLMiC Pro gains Bluetooth mic support, auto shutter options & expanded iPhone X features
FiLMiC Pro, probably the most advanced camcorder for iPhone and iPad ever, just became better yet.
Thanks on the latest update bumping version number in order to six.4, videographers can easily connect a Bluetooth microphone to their tool and do it when shooting video in FiLMiC Pro. You have to switch on this feature by enabling Bluetooth Microphone in the audio settings inside the app.
Developers caution that microphone audio quality can vary widely caused by Bluetooth’s unreliable performance and aggressive compression. \”For the greatest results, we recommend using AirPods,\” developers note. AirPods, as you know, include Apple’s in-house designed wireless chip that improves Bluetooth reliability and sound quality significantly.
Another new feature, called Auto Shutter, makes it easy to prevent the dreaded flickering which may occur when shooting indoors with fluorescent lights. This method are located in the settings menu in the bottom within the app’s Frame Rate menu.
There are three choices available: 50Hz (mostly for customers in Europe), 60Hz (the an electrical source frequency employed in us states) and Auto, that could endeavor to set shutter behavior to best fit geographical location’s power frequency.
Other modifications to this edition of FiLMiC Pro add the capacity to select/deselect all videos while in the library by long-tapping film selection button, plus expanded iPhone X support.
If you need to iPhone X, the app will now fill the handset’s OLED display with additional information, such as a detailed audio meter together with other useful readings like quality setting, recording time remaining and color temperature.
This update is given at no additional charge to existing consumers that use app.
FiLMiC Pro is $14.99 on App Store.
