Sa?gon jailbreak updated with wider device support and greater recovery rate
Abraham Masri has updated his iOS 10.2.1 Sa?gon jailbreak, incorporating Siguza’s new v0rtex exploit. With similar vulnerability as Ian Beer’s exploit for iOS 11, v0rtex for iOS 10 has replaced ziVA because the kernel magic behind the Sa?gon jailbreak. This modification has taken greater stability to Sa?gon, that has been previously very finicky to successfully run.
The update, beta 3, also brings support to more devices, though still on the limited collection of firmwares. This can be the new supported device list:
- iPad Air (Cellular) (10.2)
- iPhone 5s (10.2.1)
- iPhone SE (10.2.1) (not tested)
- iPhone 6/Plus (10.2.1)
- iPhone 6s/Plus (10.2.1) (not tested)
- iPhone 6 (10.3.x) (not yet)
It might be hoped the most of the 64-bit devices gain support soon. v0rtex technically works all the way up to iOS 10.3.3, and on all devices nearly the iPhone 7(+). However, you will find more to remain done before they are able to i believe jailbreak. Count on seeing pre-iPhone 7 devices get support on?iOS 10.2.1 first, then on iOS 10.3.x. Support for 32-bit devices may come next, from tihmstar.?iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus support are going to be last, his or her newer hardware protections will be needing another exploit which is currently missing, if not a totally re-written Cydia Substrate.
Here would be the full changelog for Sa?gon beta 3:
- Significantly better effectiveness using new exploit (v0rtex)
- Support for additional devices (partially tested)
- Complete re-write within the application
To update from an earlier beta, simply delete the previous Sa?gon app, reboot your device, sideload the new beta .ipa with Cydia Impactor, and re-jailbreak. Expect it to take far fewer tries pc useful to!
As you can view with the image above, I’ve recently tested the revolutionary beta by using an iPhone 5s on iOS 10.2.1. It works perfectly, while using jailbreak process working try on every occasion I\’ve got tried it at this point.
